Back home! Well, technically, I got in Monday afternoon, but I needed to get back on Japan time.
And I got back just in time for my second round of exams. I have a meeting with a couple of my professors later today to show them the work I've done while I've been gone. I didn't fill as many sketchbooks as I did while in Paris, but it's still a good amount. The Poison Garden accounted for quite a bit of one. Thankfully I'll have some time after exams and before I leave for New York to finish a few landscape paintings. I've already completed some rough outlines, so once they're reviewed and I get approval, I'll be able to start on them.
I'm not that disappointed in my quarterfinal exit at Wimbledon. I didn't train as much on grass before the tournament as I did playing on clay before the French. I have a bit more time for hard court training before the US Open, so I think, depending on my draw, I should get to at least the quarterfinals again.

Speaking of New York, are you coming with me Renji? I'm looking at hotels already, so I'd like to know your plans.

I will accompany you. At this point, I may as well leave my job at KK, but they seem reluctant to let me go.... as such, I have a lot of leeway at the moment.

If you enjoy working there, I'm not about to tell you to quit. I want you to be happy, Renji, but I'm pleased you're coming along.

You will always come first, Seiichi. This also makes me happy.

I should be second to your own needs and wants. ♥

They are not necessarily unaligned.

If you're absolutely sure. As much as I'd love it, I don't want to force you.

[Screened to Yukimura]
I'm sure. Seiichi, I'm happy I'm able to help you.

You're the best. We'll need to negotiate your salary though. I don't think 10% is enough.

[Screened to Yukimura]
Be sure to leave enough for your plant acquisition efforts.

If I give 10% to my coach (assuming I keep the same one and you don't think I should change), then 15% for you, and 30% for taxes (that's enough, right?) then I should have plenty left over. Oh, and however much you suggested I invest.
...Actually, I have no idea. I know my coach is 10%. After that, i don't know.

Your coach is fine for now. There's still your physio, your trainer, your doctor, professional expenses such as restringing and travel... You would not have that much leeway at all had I not ensured you have good revenue from endorsement deals. As it is, with the numbers involved perhaps you should hire an accountant. I've been doing it for you so far and I can continue doing it, but perhaps someone actually trained for such purposes might be better.

Okay, I'll get an accountant.
And maybe you should get more than 15%. I didn't quite realize how much you've been handling.

My father runs an accounting firm. Perhaps I can get a recommendation from him.
It's a labour of love, Seiichi. I don't think I can in good conscience accept 15%, when you are the one bringing in the actual income. How about 10%, but with an annual bonus depending on how well you do.

Tell him I said hello.
12%.

He expresses disappointment that you have not been on top of your finances.
10.5%.

[Screened to Yanagi]
But you were doing that for me, so doesn't that mean he's disappointed in you, technically? :p
12%.

He meant your personal involvement in your finances. Considering you had no idea of how much you earn and spend...
You're not very good at this negotiation thing, are you?

[Screened to Yanagi]
...I had a vague idea.
I'm great at it. You're the one not accepting a better offer.

[Screened to Yukimura]
Too vague.
You're supposed to be trying to manage your money.

[Screened to Yanagi]
I guess.
Yeah, but I want you to make what you deserve.
