Shiraishi and I went to the Poison Garden before Wimbledon started which was quite interesting. It gave me some ideas on plants I would like to grow at home. It'll be something to research on the way home. Though, I might need to look at getting a bigger place at this rate. One with room for a large garden or greenhouse and then a good sized room with ventilation for art. Even better if I could have a clay court in the backyard... I guess that's something else to look at.

My sister sent some pictures so I could make sure my flowers and plants were doing well in my absence. I'm a bit upset though as one of my flowers blossomed while I wasn't there. I told Mika to carefully clip that one to give to our mom. Of course, I provided instructions to make sure it stayed alive for at least a couple of weeks. Mostly because I want to see it in person.





The quarterfinals are tomorrow. I feel good, but who knows how it will go? I've been surprised by a few of the early round losses.

At least they aren't kicking you our of your room to make it a nursery. Yet. I guess you should make a list of things your place absolutely has to have. Then another for things that would be nice to have, but not super necessary. The other alternative is to stay at home and save up to build your own place.

Not 100% sold on the idea of moving, but it doesn't hurt to look. I don't think us all moving in together would be a good idea. Sanada might have a coronary. But I'm not opposed to team hangouts every so often.

I know! It seems to be anomaly as none of the others on the bush have such distinct coloration. Hopefully my sister keeps it alive at least until next Monday.

That is fortunate. But moving out before the little one arrives would still be a good goal.

I thought my list was already whittled down to the must haves.

I think it's too soon to consider investing in buying my own place. Renting is good enough for now. I suppose I just don't feel I should spend too much money on it since it's a bit of a frivolous thing. That's why I was considering roommates.

Buying =/= building. If I wasn't so impatient traveling so much, I would consider building rather than buying that way I could get exactly what I want.

There are only so many shelves one can add to an apartment. Oh no, I could never. A select few are capable of taking care of them when I'm away. The process for finding a dedicated one would be tedious. I'd rather just poke at the people I can trust.

I was considering moving a bit closer to Tokyo as long as it's on a good train line. I still need to get to classes and home to teach kendo.


I would certainly build if I was going to purchase my own place. It's just more practical. I could get everything on my checklist and make sure everything is up to the latest safety codes and make sure it's efficient.

Definitely one of those strange quirks of nature. I've had a few other plants do some similar things, but nothing with such a stark contrast. I'm looking into ways to preserve it, probably resin though as oil or soap would possibly disturb the integrity and aren't as permanent.
