I am so exhausted. I think the outcome would have been a bit different had I not gone to 5 sets with Tezuka in the semifinal, but I can't be too hard on myself. Losing to Nadal at the French Open in my first tournament since last season is pretty good. I held my own, so no complaints. Plus, it's a huge smack in the face to those who didn't think I could come back. If Serena can do it, so can I.

Our flight home is tomorrow? I can't remember for sure, but it will be nice to go home for a small stretch before flying out to London in a couple of weeks. I thought about just staying here then heading to London, but decided going home would be better.

Why do people have such bad timing when discussing not-so-good things? It's stupid and completely unhelpful. Obviously, you shouldn't talk about bad news when someone is in a good mood, but at least give the other person some time to breathe before having a serious discussion.

You did very well, Seiichi. This was the best possible outcome.

Spa day?

Because people suck.

Tezuka is never the opponent you want to face if you have no time to recover after it. But I think you put in an exceptional performance at the Open. You should feel proud of it.

I'm very good at throttling people if you require it.

Congratulations. As far as dramatic returns go it would've been hard to pull off in a more spectacular fashion than you did.

It was interesting meeting you in an off-court setting as well. Perhaps we can get coffee again when we're both at the same tournament.

Some people are super KY, Yukimura-san. Most of them are your friends, but Everything good?

You played great, and you played the best in the world on that stage. It was a good loss.

Congratulations, Yukimura-kun~! I know I've told you this but it still was an amazing match to watch.

It's good that you're coming back. :b would be too long of an absence.

Oh? Some people are very considerate.

You played so amazingly well. I was on the edge of my seat the whole time. Seriously, you should be super proud of that. ♡ ~('▽^人) Hopefully you have a good flight and can rest much better than Kite did (though I'm happy to save an energy drink for you, too!)~

Normally I don't agree with Hikaru so easily on stuff like this, but... yeah, 'cause people suck.

So, since you did stupidly well, does this mean we have a cat cafe date?

Despite the results, it was an excellent match, Yukimura-kun. Well done and congratulations.

My sincerest congratulations to you. It was a hard fought match watched by millions. I'm excited to see where else you go from here. Rest well.

Bad timing always brings a damper to things. Regardless of what happened, I hope that the outcome will ultimately be positive.
