I am so exhausted. I think the outcome would have been a bit different had I not gone to 5 sets with Tezuka in the semifinal, but I can't be too hard on myself. Losing to Nadal at the French Open in my first tournament since last season is pretty good. I held my own, so no complaints. Plus, it's a huge smack in the face to those who didn't think I could come back. If Serena can do it, so can I.

Our flight home is tomorrow? I can't remember for sure, but it will be nice to go home for a small stretch before flying out to London in a couple of weeks. I thought about just staying here then heading to London, but decided going home would be better.

Why do people have such bad timing when discussing not-so-good things? It's stupid and completely unhelpful. Obviously, you shouldn't talk about bad news when someone is in a good mood, but at least give the other person some time to breathe before having a serious discussion.

I won't be at Wimbledon this year, unfortunately. Moral objections to their clothing rules aside, I do actually need to attend school periodically. Thanks! Once I've gotten enough sleep and can look at it objectively, I think I'll see things differently. The loss is still fresh. I am proud, but I don't know. It hasn't really sunk in yet.
